Yellow Scroll
Ideal Water Parameters
- Temperature: 74–80°F (23–27°C)
- Salinity: 1.024–1.026
- pH: 8.1–8.4
- Alkalinity: 8–10 dKH
- Calcium: 400–450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1280–1350 ppm
Lighting and Placement
- Lighting: Moderate to high (PAR 150–350), depending on the specific color morph. Brighter light can enhance purple or yellow bases.
- Water Flow: Moderate to strong to keep polyps clean and prevent detritus from settling in the folds.
- Placement: Mid to lower tank levels, mounted securely on an exposed rock or ledge with enough space to scroll and plate outward.
Feeding and Care
- Diet: Mostly photosynthetic, but benefits from target feeding 1–2 times per week with microplankton, oyster eggs, or powdered coral foods.
- Maintenance: Keep water parameters stable and use a turkey baster occasionally to blow away any debris trapped in the scroll layers.
