Placement and Flow
- Water Movement: Keep water flow low to moderate. Too much current will tear or damage the delicate flesh, preventing the coral from opening. Too little flow allows detritus to settle on its body.
- Lighting: Place the coral low on the sandbed or bottom of the tank under low-to-moderate lighting (around 50 to 100 PAR for adjustment). Excessive light causes shrinking and tissue retraction.
- Space: Give it plenty of room because extended polyps can stretch up to three times the size of the base skeleton. The skeleton itself is very fragile, so handle it with care during placement.
