Colussus Leptastrea

Original price was: $20.00.Current price is: $15.00.

Leptastrea corals are hardy, beginner-friendly large polyp stony (LPS) corals.

Lighting
  • Keep PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation, or light intensity) between 75 and 150.
  • Place them in the lower or middle sections of your aquarium.
  • Acclimate them slowly to prevent bleaching if your light is bright.
Water Flow
  • Provide a low-to-moderate, indirect water movement.
  • Ensure the flow sweeps away waste without pinning the coral tissue tight against the skeleton.
Water Parameters
  • Temperature: 74°F to 80°F (23°C to 27°C)
  • Salinity (specific gravity): 1.024 to 1.026
  • Alkalinity: 8.0 to 9.5 dKH
  • Calcium: 400 to 450 ppm
  • Magnesium: 1250 to 1350 ppm
  • Nitrates: 5 to 30 ppm (they prefer slightly higher nutrients)
Feeding
  • Feeding is optional because they get energy from light, but target feeding helps them grow faster.
  • Use fine foods like microplankton, phytoplankton, or powdered coral foods once or twice a week.
